Nephew Essentials

Nephew Essentials

Danish rockers Nephew were formed in the mid-‘90s, but it was their 2004 album USADSB that catapulted them into the mainstream. The band's sound is defined by forceful, driving rhythms and heavy use of synthesisers, all bound together by the brooding passion of Simon Kvamm's rich vocals alternating seamlessly between English and Danish. Tracks such as “Superliga” and “Hospital” hypnotise with their thumping beats, while "Police Bells & Church Sirens" demonstrates beguiling post-punk with pop influences simmering beneath the surface.
