Whether solo or as part of The Terribles, Santiago has consistently blended Spanish folk and Anglo-American rock. In Radio Futura he saw a like-minded soul marrying flamenco’s sensitively plucked guitar with rock’s catchy hooks, as on gentle post-punk jam “El Tonto Simon”. His proclivity for simply rocking out is evident in The Kinks’ “Victoria” and Chuck Berry’s classic “Johnny B. Goode”.
