Chk Chk Chk) relocated to New York just in time for the city's post-Y2K dance-punk renaissance—and have endured by constantly evolving their sound without ever losing their groove. Their politically charged 2003 single “Me and Guiliani Down by the School Yard” typifies their early approach, stretching out their pinpricked disco rhythms to trance-inducing extremes, before frontman Nic Offer's bratty repartee breaks the spell like a slap to the face. Over time, they've harnessed their love of house music into pop-song proportions, like on 2017's drag-diva-ready anthem “Dancing Is the Best Revenge”.
