The Chinadoll

Chinadoll is the name given to Robin Wylie, a Michigan-based musician who mixes trip-hop and indie rock into one curious stew. Beginning with the Only the Innocence/The Lucky One single in 1991, Chinadoll began a fairly erratic release schedule revolving around the schedule of Wylie. An eponymous full-length appeared in 1993, followed three years later with Tango. It was another four years until PopNoir was released. ~ Bradley Torreano
