About Ryan Carter

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is watching Busta Rhymes "Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check" video and becoming enchanted by hip-hop and the power that music can have on people. I didn't know it at that time, but that video would shape the arist I became. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dave Matthews, Some Devil MF DOOM, MM..FOOD Tricky, Maxinquaye These three albums had the most the profound effect on me and really shaped me into the artist I became. I'm influenced by a lot of different genres, styles, and artists but these three came into my life at a time where I really began to evolve. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sad Existence” When I recorded this song I felt that I had finally matured into that artist that I always knew I could be. This song in particular blends all the elements that I had bits and pieces of in previous projects, but finally together in unisom. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Knowing that the songs, albums, and work I've done has had an impact in others lives. That is most memorable for me. Just reaching one person and making their day better with a song is an honor and I've done that across the globe for millions. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being remembered for the art and for the good that I've tried to do. That's what I want to leave behind along with my music.
