Although she explored the habanera tradition of Cuba on her 1999 debut solo album, Miradante, Salgado took a more pan-Mediterranean approach with her second solo recording, Siete Modos De Guisar Las Berenjenas," including a mixture of Spanish and Sephardic tunes.
