This Birmingham, England rapper delivers intense personal tales over brooding beats. KayMuni's earliest singles appeared in 2021, before he self-issued his debut mixtape, Time Is Money, the following year. This set featured cameos from KB and Marnz Malone, two contemporaries with whom he would continue to collaborate musically in the coming years. Turning his focus from tales of prison and reflections of the street to analysis of a strained relationship, "Love Letter from the Trenches" was released to coincide with Valentine's Day 2023. Time Is Money 2 featured a guest spot from Mazza L20, and KayMuni kicked off the new year with a dramatic, Fumez the Engineer-produced track. Next came a brief appearance on "Free KayMuni," from Potter Payper's U.K. number five-charting mixtape Thanks for Hating. The Barking rapper subsequently signed KayMuni to his 36TL imprint, which issued the 2024 U.K. Top 40 mixtape Signed to the T.
