About Janusz Wawrowski

Janusz Wawrowski is a leading figure among the younger generation of violinists in Poland. Charismatic and innovative, he records for the Warner Classics label and is making an impact beyond Eastern Europe as a performer. An early indicator of Wawrowski's talents came when he began to perform all of Paganini's 24 Caprices in a single concert evening. He made his recording debut with those works in 2007. Wawrowski rode major Eastern and Central European prizes into a promising concert career. An enthusiastic chamber musician, he has an ongoing collaboration with pianist Robert Morawski and has served as the artistic director of the Music on the Heights International Chamber Music Festival. In 2013, Wawrowski recorded the album Aurora. He released Sequenza, a collection of virtuoso works of the 20th and 21st centuries, in 2016. In 2021, Wawrowski returned with Phoenix. He is a lecturer at the Chopin University.
