About Eric Prydz

One of the most influential producers of the modern era, Eric Prydz performs a variety of genres under a series of names, the most beloved being his progressive house alias Pryda and his techno moniker Cirez D. • Hailing from Stockholm, Prydz worked closely with Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello in his early years. They called themselves the “Swedish House Mafia” in passing, but when the others formed a group by that name, Prydz declined to participate. • He scored his biggest hit with 2004’s “Call On Me”, an upbeat disco-house tune that samples Steve Winwood's 1982 song "Valerie". It went platinum in the UK and Australia and charted around the world. • His 2009 single “Miami to Atlanta” features the first use of the famous “Pryda snare”. The technique involves using a sustained, compressed snare drum sound to mark the transition in a track, and it’s subsequently been used by producers like Martin Garrix, Hardwell and Swedish House Mafia. • Prydz’s innovative music is matched only by his state-of-the-art EPIC concerts, each of which raises the bar for visual performance technology, often for one night only. EPIC 6.0 in 2019 saw the DJ perform inside a giant holographic sphere.
