About Carbon Leaf
The folky pop-rock quintet Carbon Leaf hails from Richmond, Virginia. Like Dave Matthews (another product of the Richmond scene), Carbon Leaf mix roots rock, jam band, and adult alternative tendencies, while throwing in some Celtic elements for good measure. A series of albums released on the band’s own label preceded ECHO ECHO, Carbon Leaf’s breakthrough effort. That album’s “The Boxer” gained attention, and the band performed the song live on the American Music Awards, leading to national recognition. INDIAN SUMMER appeared on Vanguard Records in 2004, and was followed by LOVE, LOSS, HOPE, REPEAT (06) and NOTHING RHYMES WITH WOMAN (2009).
