About C. Gibbs
Former Modern English guitarist C. Gibbs left that group in 1991, moving on to the Morning Glories and leading that group throughout the 90's. Gibbs supported avant garde industrial rocker Foetus in the late 90's as the Morning Glories broke up, but his secret desire was really to begin his solo career. He wrote and recorded 29 Over Me as the C. Gibbs Review, but later changed the name to the C. Gibbs Group before the record came out. Released on Atlantic Records, he scored gigs opening for John Mellencamp and Son Volt and moved to Los Angeles for a period. Sincerity's Ground followed later in 1999, and marked his last solo record for a period while he toured as the bassist for Dave Vanian's Phantom Chords and played with comedian Margaret Cho. By 2002, he moved to New York City to release his third album (The Pinkermen Set.) ~ Bradley Torreano
