Formed in Orange County, California in 2011, Adult Books is an indie rock trio led by singer/guitarist Nick Winfrey. Taking their name from a song by L.A. punk legends X, Winfrey, along with bassist Daniel Quintanilla and drummer M.M. Sina, combine a post-punk approach with tuneful indie rock melodies that fall somewhere between the Ramones and the Smiths. Their self-titled debut EP was issued in 2012 by Burger and Lolipop Records with a U.K. release via Manchester's Box Bedroom label. After relocation to Los Angeles and several years of touring and writing, Adult Books returned in early 2016 with their debut full-length, Running from the Blows. ~ Timothy Monger
