Caity Baser was still a teen when she first shot to fame, posting original songs and covers online from her bedroom to instant viral acclaim. For her debut Apple Music Home Session, the Brighton-based singer adapts her favourite offering from a US teen idol turned modern pop icon. “I think it’s cool to sing it with real British energy,” she tells Apple Music of Miley Cyrus’ 2023 smash “Flowers”. “This song is all about self-love and realising that you didn’t actually need anyone in the first place. And I stand by that stuff. Also, I went up a key, so I could show off my voice!” Baser’s impressive vocal runs reappear across an additional live version of “Feel More Okay”—a vibrant pop bop lifted from 2023’s debut EP Thanks for Nothing, See You Never. “It’s my favourite of all my songs,” she says. “Now that it’s festival season, I can’t wait to get back to performing this again onstage and, of course, for more music and big collaborations coming this year.”
