Urbandub Essentials

After emerging from the underground in the early '00s, Urbandub became an instant hit with alternative music fans in the Philippines, and with six albums and a slew of awards to their name, they proved themselves to be both prolific and hugely popular. While their work was initially influenced by both metal and grunge, as the years progressed they took on elements of post-hardcore and indie-rock. Their style of alt-rock gradually became more sophisticated and emotionally driven—the angular guitar lines and frenetic drumming complemented Gabby Alipe's strident vocals.
