William James Kirkpatrick

Kirkpatrick was a compiler and publisher of gospel music who had Civil War band experiences. He was from Pennsylvania and was the president of the Praise Publishing Company. Kirkpatrick compiled approximately one hundred different collections of this genre of music. He arranged the hymn "Jesus saves" and musical indications suggest his practical knowledge with bands. ~ Keith Johnson
