About Steve Horner

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in 8th grade, I remember wandering into the empty band room and sitting down at the drum kit, picking up some sticks and bashing away. From that point forward, I knew that music was going to be my thing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nirvana, Nevermind The Cars, The Cars Wet Leg, Wet Leg All three of these albums represent song craft at its finest. The production is spot on and I love the way I feel when I listen. I have been following Wet Leg for quite awhile now and knew the minute I heard Chaise Lounge they would be huge. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Willow Tree (feat. Savannah Outen)” I love the intimate vibe of this song and how it feels like keeping a secret. It's a pop song in style and structure but realized using only strings. This leaves lots of open space for Savannah Outen's stellar vocals to really punch through. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Attending the Academy Awards in 2019 when an animated short I scored, One Small Step was nominated for an Oscar. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I don't really have a specific bucket list because my career has taken some great twists and turns where I've found myself making music I never expected to be making. I keep my goals simple and more general so that I don't overlook the unusual.
