Ebe Dancel’s influence on OPM can’t be underestimated. His classic rock musicality has weathered shifting trends, while his soulful songwriting—human and poetic musings on love and life—birthed classics like “Prom” and “Tulog Na”. After leaving Sugar Free in 2011, he released Dalawang Mukha ng Pag-ibig in 2012 and Bawat Daan in 2015, both albums carrying the classic hallmarks of his work: honest, powerful rock songs laced with electric guitars. After a break, he returned to music in 2020 reinvigorated, releasing collections of his greatest hits that highlight the brilliance of his legacy—with plenty more to come.
