It’s still plenty powerful. Mahler wrote that he intended for the listener to “imagine the universe beginning to ring and resound”—and that sense of scale is captured fully here with help from Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. Every flash of brass and flurry of strings and weave of towering voices sounds as though it’s close enough to touch and comprehend, ringing and resounding all around you.
