Founded by tastemaking selector/producer Manfredi Romano, aka DJ Tennis, in 2010, record label and events brand Life and Death has consistently been at the forefront of electronic music, with a focus on elevating soulful dance music with a post-rock aesthetic. The imprint is world-renowned within dance music circles as an incubator for launching the careers of top-notch talent, counting the likes of Tale of Us, Mind Against, Stephan Bodzin, Vaal, Whitesquare, Carlita and many more as contributors to the label's storied catalogue. Life and Death also regularly curates and hosts showcase events around the globe, descending on celebrated venues like Panorama Bar, Thuishaven, Fabric and Miami's Virginia Key for its legendary Art Basel party Rakastella. Each showcase event highlights a vibrant community of like-minded individuals bound by expansive creativity, pairing the most cutting-edge talent in electronic music with a wide range of distinguished production and visual designers such as Ricardo Cavolo, Michela Picchi and Father Akki.
