Hailing from the St. Kilda suburb of Melbourne, Australia, n.y.c.k. are an alternative pop outfit known for their sparse, warm, and forlorn compositions such as 2017's "Speak My Mind" and "This Might be My Year." Made up of musicians Nicholas Acquroff and Dominique Garrard, the duo came together in 2016 to create some electronically infused pop music with arresting vocals, resonant keys, and crystalline production. They made their appearance on the scene in late 2016 with the track "Decision." They soon followed up with two more tracks -- "Speak My Mind" and "This Might Be My Year" in 2017. They caught the attention of alternative music fans for their unique blend of morose and melancholy lyrics with upbeat and positive song structures and put out their debut EP, Alive, in late 2017. ~ Rob Wacey
