Yellow Swans Essentials

Though the band only lasted seven years, Yellow Swans produced dozens of recordings for both small run CD-R/cassette imprints and high profile labels. This massive output wound up having a huge impact on experimental music, with their dense mix of feedback, rumbling noise and electronics influencing hundreds of likeminded musicians worldwide. The duo split in 2008, but both have continued to produce new music with Pete Swanson's output leaning towards overdriven dance beats, while Gabriel Mindel Saloman's work has opted for more expansive and often breathtaking works of ambient and drone.
