Scott Storch played keyboards for The Roots and Dr. Dre before becoming a hitmaker in his own right. The Philly native's beats often feature his signature dramatic piano chords, as heard on G-Unit's “Poppin' Them Thangs” and Lil' Kim's “Lighters Up”. His ornate synths take the shape of Indian ragas and Middle Eastern string arrangements on chart-toppers like Terror Squad's “Lean Back” and Beyoncé's “Baby Boy”.
