In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My Dad always tells me about how I could sing the tunes to Star Wars before I learnt how to talk. Music has always felt like my mother tongue, my first language. I started playing and learning to play by ear when I was about 9. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Cocteau Twins, Harold Budd, The Moon and the Melodies Gustavo Santaolalla, Ronroco Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, The Dark Knight (Collectors Edition) [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack] Since I was a child, these are the three albums that have had probably the most profound influence on me. Moon and the Melodies's haunting and beautiful atmospheres, the intimacy of Ronroco, they've affected how I write and create music Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Commute” Written for my great friend Jeremy's short film Octagon, I wrote this piece more like a song and more as self expression than as score for a film. It remains one of the most intimate things I've written. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My musical journey as it were was kickstarted when I saw The Dark Knight in cinema as a kid, I was captured by that movie and knew I had to make music. Ten years later I got to write the music for a new Batman movie. That was very special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's never a shortage of new stories or new worlds or new peoples who's stories I'd love to tell.
