About Fucked Up

Formed in 2001, F****d Up proudly preserve and demolish Canada’s hardcore-punk legacy. Anchored by howling vocalist Damian “Pink Eyes” Abraham, the Toronto group unfurl lashing guitars and ferocious drums, but—under the musical direction of guitarist Mike Haliechuk and drummer Jonah Falco—they aren’t afraid to balance their aggressive side with artier pursuits. F****d Up issued a string of 7-inch singles before debuting in 2006 with the full-length album Hidden World, which featured the churning “David Comes to Life”. The band soon started branching out beyond their punk origins, releasing 2008’s sprawling, scathing The Chemistry of Common Life; a 2011 rock opera, also called David Comes To Life; and 2018’s Dose Your Dreams, which incorporated acid-house influences and an all-star cast of guests. But no matter how far out they venture, hardcore is always in their hearts, as the singles from 2023’s One Day are as relentless (and boundary-busting) as F****d Up’s earlier work.
