Tell us why you chose this song. “The Mayor of Candor Lied” This is one of the greatest story songs ever written, by the king of the story, Harry Chapin. The plot is devious with a jaw-dropping reveal at the end, and Harry does a masterful job setting it to music. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I had the chance to work with producer David Kershenbaum and great studio players like Leland Sklar and Denny Fongheiser on my new album. I marveled at the musical magic they brought to the project.
