Between his masked face and his sardonic public profile, Zomby has been a bass-music enigma ever since his first singles on influential labels like Ramp and Hyperdub. An early proponent of dubstep's G-funk-inspired "purple" wing, he helped kick off the rave-music revival with his debut album, 2008's hardcore-sampling Where Were U in '92? He signed to the legendary alternative label 4AD for his critically acclaimed 2011 album Dedication, which flirted with ambient and IDM, while 2013's double-disc With Love turned his atmospheric fixations towards trap, jungle and UK funky.
