Gene and Dean Ween have thrived on the fringe from the get-go, so the straight-ahead raging rocker "Beacon Light", from the X-Files soundtrack, marks something of a reverse double-whammy. Ween get especially "brown", as they characterise their darker and looser stretches, in the noise blitz "Mushroom Festival In Hell", and they conjure up some Tijuana brassiness for the Latin-esque "Fiesta".
