The Mint Chicks branded their sound troublegum—a twisted play on bubblegum pop—and that perfectly sums up their style. They progressed from the raw, scuzzy punk-pop of 2005 debut Fuck the Golden Youth to the warped pop of Crazy? Yes! Dumb? No! Things took a left turn on 2009's Screens, as they introduced synths and toy keyboards and went more spacey and psychedelic.
