The Isley Brothers Essentials

The Isley Brothers Essentials

Founded in the mid-'50s by satin-voiced brothers Ronald, O'Kelly and Rudolph, this GRAMMY®-winning group has proved profoundly influential. With an ability to change with the times, their Top 40 hits straddle six decades, from the late '50s to the early '00s. After scoring a pair of doo-wop/R&B hits, they went chameleonic—first as Motown soul-poppers, then as psych-funk stars and later, after expanding to include younger brother Ernie, as folk-rockers. They recorded a number of funk/dance favourites in the '70s before hitting a stride with smooth soul.
