In the mid-'60s, Gregg and Duane Allman were already mixing blues and rock music as The Allman Joys, adding a garage-rock rumble to tunes like Willie Dixon's "Spoonful". Fast-forward to a ‘90s jam like “Back Where It All Begins”, and it's easy to see that the band never lost their penchant for rootsy, loose-limbed country rock.
