The lively melodies and art-pop vibe of Swedish rock outfit Stiftelsen came about when Robert Pettersson—lead singer of alt-rock dynamos Takida—sought an outlet for a catchy, more playful rock sound. Pettersson connected with industry vets Micke Eriksson and Arne Johansson, formerly of Willy & The Hitchhikers, and drummer Martin Källström of Corroded—and Stiftelsen was born. The group hit the scene hard in 2012 with the blissed-out debut “Vart jag än går". On subsequent albums, the group's sound has evolved to include dansrock and country influences, expanding their pop-rock takeover.
