With each new release, thundering punks SiM take fans on a thrilling ride. Since their 2008 debut album Silence iz Mine, they have been unleashing hyperkinetic slices of nu-metal, hardcore and ska punk, punctuated by tongue-in-cheek breaks of dub and reggae. Profiting from tight choruses and vocalist MAH’s ferocious performances, their 2012 EP Life and Death—including rowdy earworm “Amy”—gave SiM the first in a string of Japanese top 10 hits. And for more recent single “Sand Castle”, the band teamed up with Tokyo rapper AKKOGORILLA—proof they can still pull out surprises year after year.
