Sampled: "UFO"

Straight outta the South Bronx, ESG's funky post-punk grooves helped soundtrack the downtown New York City scene in the early-'80s. With its raw rhythms and spaced-out guitar hook, "UFO" was quickly identified for its sampling potential by artists like the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A. The song has also been repurposed by dance and metal acts like Basement Jaxx and the Nine Inch Nails.
