RCA was a major hub for diverse tastes in rock. The label made major moves with glam acts like David Bowie and Mick Ronson, proto-punks like Lou Reed and Iggy Pop and hard rockers like the Scorpions, and took chances with diverse songwriting talents like Harry Nilsson, Hall & Oates and Elliott Murphy. The label even released The Kinks' legendary 1971 concept album, Muswell Hillbillies.
