Since the late '90s, Passion have crafted modern, alternative-kissed worship for young Christians. The project spotlights a rotating cast of leaders, with each track setting off in a radically different direction: Chris Tomlin's “God of This City” reflects the singer/songwriter's love of airy harmonies and graceful piano melodies, while Kristian Stanfill's “Even So Come” praises the Lord's greatness over expansive guitar washes and patiently crescendoing rhythms. Crowder's “Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains)” offers yet another distinct path, blending rollicking folk-punk and old-school gospel fervour.
