Nurse With Wound Essentials

Through many lineup and sound changes, Stephen Stapleton has remained the sole constant of Nurse With Wound. The underground project began in 1978, under the influence of Krautrock groups like Faust and early industrial acts like Throbbing Gristle, and used those building blocks to create unsettling surrealist collages that incorporate elements of experimental blues, ambient soundscapes and ground-rumbling rhythms. Stapleton's influence has been vast as well, with fans like indie pop group Stereolab and drone metal ensemble SunnO))) inviting the UK producer to collaborate.
