New Found Glory's melodic but hard-hitting brand of pop-punk took them out of the Florida punk scene and into the Top 40. The band drew inspiration from the big hooks and intense vocal drive of acts like blink-182 and The Get Up Kids, which they translated into five Top 40 albums over the course of a busy decade. Despite chart success, New Found Glory never forgot their punk roots, as evidenced by later albums like 2011's Radiosurgery, which retained the pop-friendly elements on which they built their fan base.
