Lucinda Williams' Americana takes many different forms. She's done stompin' blues (“Honey Bee”), contemporary country (“Six Blocks Away”) and shuffling, folky ballads (“If Wishes Were Horses”). Her depth of experience makes her an excellent interpreter as well: Her worn-in take on “Satisfied Mind” calms and comforts, while “Going Down the Road Feelin' Bad” becomes a lush, translunary experience in her hands.
