Nashville's Lonestar was a major player in getting country music to the masses throughout the late '90s and early '00s. In addition to notching nine chart-toppers within their primary genre the guys' triple platinum Lonely Grill also yielded a top pop spot and kicked off a steady stream of volleying between both worlds. Membership shifted over the years including the departure of bassist John Rich (Big & Rich) in 1998 and singer Richie McDonald a decade later, though the latter's since re-joined founding members Michael Britt, Dean Sams and Keech Rainwater to rapturous results.
