Liars Essentials

True to their punk ethos, Liars have eschewed conventions and expectations at every turn of their career, displaying a knack for reinventing themselves with each album. 2001's They Threw Us All in a Trench and Stuck a Monument on Top saw the band make a mark as post-punk revivalists, before they moved on to abstract noise rock on the conceptual Drum's Not Dead in 2006. By 2012's WIXIW, Liars had taken a sharp left turn towards electronica, proving they're a band who never let themselves—or their fans—get too comfortable.
