Lauren Alaina Essentials

Even though country singer Lauren Alaina was just shy of 17 when she released her first album in 2011, she was already an experienced performer. Born in Georgia in 1994, the precocious Alaina performed frequently with a children’s choir in her hometown of Rossville. She was a veteran of talent shows by the time she became an American Idol contestant in 2011, and her big, bold voice and sassy, assured delivery made her a finalist. Later that year, the hook-slathered tunes and full-bodied production of Wildflower amplified Alaina’s vocal presence, going all the way to No. 2 on the country album chart. More hits then came from collaborations, including the 2017 blockbuster “What Ifs” with Kane Brown and the 2020 single “ONE BEER” with HARDY and Devin Dawson.
