Fronted by Ian Kenny, who also provides lead vocals for alt-rockers Birds of Tokyo, Karnivool debuted with a self-titled EP in 1999, and have since become one of Australia's most sonically adventurous rock groups. While their sound has evolved over the years, from aggressive nu-metal to highflying progressive rock, guitarist Drew Goddard has remained the primary creative force throughout. Picking up a 2013 ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock album for Asymmetry, Karnivool walks a fine line between belligerence and beauty.
