A talented keyboardist, bandleader and composer with a bright and breezy sound, Jeff Lorber is a pioneer of jazz, funk and R&B fusion. Lorber found early success with his 1977 debut album The Jeff Lorber Fusion, on which he played alongside world class keyboardist Chick Corea. Later, on 1980's Wizard Island, Lorber introduced the world to a young saxophonist named Kenny G. Before long, he was expanding his sound to work with vocalists, often exploring a more pop-infused, synthesiser-laced style.
