As witty as it is catchy, the Hoodoo Gurus' brand of studious jangle rock supported a four-decade career, including regular appearances on the festival circuit of the '10s. Founded in 1981, the band revolves around frontman Dave Faulkner, a songwriter whose influences range from psychedelic pop to acerbic punk to quick-and-dirty garage rock. Tunes like "My Girl" and "I Want You Back" are essential hits in any collection of '80s power pop, and helped earn the group an induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007.
