Grateful Dead: Country Side
Apple Music
Not only did the Grateful Dead tackle tunes by country legends like Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, and Hank Williams, they had plenty of country influences in their own songs. Jerry Garcia's use of pedal steel guitar, especially on the classic LPs Workingman's Dead and American Beauty, lent just the right touch of twang to the band's proto-Americana tunes.
