With Future, what's important is not so much what he says, but how he says it. The Atlanta MC raps and sings about partying, sex, drugs and money, but there's an uncanny coolness to his tone. Even when he's setting a celebratory mood, he sounds like he's in some cloudy haze, housing his hooks and verses in dystopian, skittering beats.
