Freq Nasty Essentials

Fiji-born, NZ-bred, LA-based Darin McFayden, aka FreQ Nasty, found himself in the late '90s at the heart of the new dance revolution in the UK, with his earliest releases regarded as foundation stones in the emergence of the new nu-skool breaks sound. With no intention of being weighed down by genre or labels, he soon headed for the West Coast of the US in search of new beats, enhancing his reputation as a collaborator with mainstream heavyweights including Fatboy Slim, Kelis and KRS-One. FreQ Nasty has continued throughout to stay ahead of the pack, even experimenting with combining his two great passions—dance music and yoga.
