

France Gall may have stormed Eurovision in 1965, but there’s far more to the French singer than yé-yé and Gainsbourg. She experimented with different styles, trying out psychedelic cuts like “Bébé requin” and dazzling duets such as “Donner pour donner”, recorded with Elton John. But she really boosted her star in the ‘80s thanks to the slick synth-pop hits she made with her husband, producer Michel Berger.
