Family Tree: Tortoise

The men of Tortoise had played in a number of bands before coming together in the early ‘90s, most notably Eleventh Dream Day and Slint. And before long, the group's members were at it again, starting side projects including The Sea and Cake, Isotope 217 and Brokeback, and working with established bands like Stereolab and The For Carnation in a run of creativity that continued into the new century.
