Doom metallers Electric Wizard cast their spells from a dense haze of smoke, and the riffs that emerge solidify them as one of the sludgiest, most stonerrific groups ever to do it. Hailing from Dorset, England in the early ‘90s, this group burns the evil flame in slow motion with tracks that incorporate the occult, witchcraft and, of course, marijuana. Come My Fanatics…, from 1997, established them as leaders in their genre, while 2000’s bluesy, blown-out Dopethrone set them apart as dark masters who weren’t afraid to travel to the ends of the earth for an epic riff.
